Finding topics for minisites.

I have just started to use Micro Niche Finder to help with keyword research. It's a good way to find terms that people are searching for and then identifying where there is little competition.

It's worth signing up for the videos which are free, to have a look, although the software itself will need to be paid for.

This question has been asked many times.domain parking is a page of links, a big turn off, I prefer spending a bit of time on a minisite.What would you recommend, is it better to have a first page with an article on it or some information about the topic? Is it better to spend plenty of time on one site or a little bit of time on many? I prefer to use a small site rather than just park a domain.
